Dr. Gernot Groemer has spent his career at the edge of the known world. As the Director of the Austrian Space Forum (OeWF), he has led 15 international Mars analog missions, simulating the human-robotic exploration of the Red Planet in inhospitable environments on Earth—from the deserts of Oman, subsurface alpine ice caves to the mountains of the Caucasus.
